Organised by the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) this campaign is dedicated to help raise vital funds and awareness for mis-treated bears worldwide.

16 September 2010 International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer

On 19 December 1994, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 16 September the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, commemorating the date, in 1987, on which the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer was signed.

19 September 2010 International Talk like a Pirate Day
A parodic holiday invented in 1995 by John Baur and Mark Summers, of the United States, who proclaimed 19 September each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate

21 September 2010 - International Day of Peace
The International Day of Peace is on 21st September of each year and calls for a full day of peace and ceasefire throughout the world. The General Assembly of the United Nations declared that the Day be observed as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence, an invitation to all nations and people to honour a cessation of hostilities during the Day.

26 September 2010 - European Day of Languages
The European Day of Languages (EDL), a Council of Europe initiative, is held annually on the 26 September to celebrate language and cultural diversity. The Day was first celebrated in 2001, the European Year of Languages and involves more people every year.
